ARTISTIC PENCIL SKIRT STYLE FOR WORK WEAR

 STYLISH PENCIL SKIRT: South Africa Fashion blogger street style for RAGE SA.

This seasons fashion sees the artistic PENCIL SKIRT refreshed with splattered paint, prints and embellished fashionable zips. This classic stylish skirt from RAGE is anything but basic especially with the addition of paint on it.

The STYLISH pencil skirt may be worn either as a separate piece of fashion or as part of a suit but we decided to wear it with a crop top for two reasons 1 – it was hot and 2 – why not? The slim, narrow shape of a pencil skirt can restrict the movement of the wearer so pencil skirts often have a slit at the back, or less commonly at the sides. We were surprised to find that this skirt didn’t have slit, but it had a zip, which is probably just for the exciting décor of the skirt, which we loved!!!

Now for more exciting info- the pencil skirt can sometimes have a pleat instead of a slit, which exposes less skin, but we are not about that life, give us slits any day.

As you can see from where these gorgeous images where taken, we were on the side of the road with lots of cars passing by. So as it happens with shoots of this nature( in the open, being fried by the sun, trying to use natural light, while the camera man sits comfortably in the shade and I stand in weird positions in the streets), a whole lot of cheering, whistling and almost miner car accidents happened. Which make it almost impossible to do these kind of fashion shoots in less than 30 minutes and we are usually in a hurry.

We sometimes ask ourselves after the exhausting but exhilarating events of the day if those people staring  have never seen a street shoot before or people casually taking pictures on the side of the road. LOL it’s hilarious thou and fun to watch. While others stop to ask, and give us some support and motivation, or when Siyabonga starts telling me what he thinks is a juicy story and I just look at him waiting for him to finish with a blank stare so we can finish, or when the model also wants to get some shade – some just stare.
