Nicki Minaj returns to social media after months of silence.
Nicki Minaj returns to Instagram (social media) and we can not be more excited!! We call it a return because Mrs. Minaj has been off social media since the 9th of November 2019. The last post Nicki Minaj posted on her Instagram was a quote by Harriet Tubman, ‘I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves’. Deep Stuff.
When did the return of the Queen Happen
This Morning Nicki Minaj posted an image of herself in a grey and white jumpsuit (or what looks like a jumpsuit), a pair of white heels and a cute pink and white bag. The look was accompanied by a white and pink wig which looks totally amazing. The wake up from Instagram absence came in a slide show. The Instagram picture slide also included a picture of her husband Mr. Petty. Mr. Petty is wearing a pair of light blue faded denims and a colourful tight top. They look happy together and that is all that matters.
But is Ms. Minaj back on Twitter as well? Because the sudden grace of her presence on Social media was a result of a show promotion in Miami which she ‘elaborates’ more on in her I.G stories. The post was accompanied by nearly 50 thousand comments. A record breaking 50 000, and counting, comments is insane compared to the likes and comments Nicki Minaj has received towards the end of 2019. Even Beliciousmuse posted a comment on Nicki Minaj’s Welcome back post on Instagram. We sure missed her.
Missing Nicki returns to Instagram
I think the break from social media or rather the break from Instagram for Nicki Minaj, did us all, and I’m sure her too, some good. There is a saying that says, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’, which is very true. Sometimes when you constantly see someone, around at work, at home, in the streets etc. one tends to ‘take them for granted’. When it comes to music, or artists in general, not ‘every one’ can take a break from social media these days and come out alright on the other side. It takes a specific type of artist, with a specific type of following and fan engagement to be able to ‘take a break’ like Nicki Minaj did’ and survive! I was beginning to Miss Nicki Minaj and I hope that the silence either continues or she drops wild new music for us to bop to soon.
All we can say is: Welcome back Queen. And, may you continue to reign forever.
