NHLANHLA NCIZA TURNED 40 AND WE WERE INVITED

Nhlanhla Nciza Turned 40 and we were invited. Well… I was Lady Zamar’s plus one. First of all, Nhlanhla looked gorgeous. She wore a beautiful pink dress but more importantly, she didn’t look a day older than 25. “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” – Abraham Lincoln.
Her look was breathtaking, her makeup on point and the all-white theme of the party was magnificent.

“You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear, as young as your hope, as old as your despair.” – Douglas Macarthurhoug.
We may carry the accumulation of years in our body and on our face, we can choose to stay young at heart, to not let the years weigh on our spirit.”

When we got there, Lady Zamar and I got separated. There were a few single seats left in the auditorium so we sat on “different tables”. I got to sit next to Lira and her man, towards the front so I could hear and see clearly. What fascinated me the most were the speeches and the decor.
One speech came from her son and had her in tears. He talked mostly about learning to be humble and being taught life lessons by his mother.

The decor was mostly all white but included images of Nhlanhla Nciza all around the room. What better way to decorate a 40th birthday than with pictures of the birthday Queen.

Nhlanhla Nciza turned 40 but her spirit is not that of a 40-year-old. “Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are forever.” – Walt Disney.

Nhlanhla Nciza turned 40 and she didn’t look shy or afraid of turning 40. Most of us fear ageing. But I feel it’s difficult to age if you feel you haven’t accomplished what you promised yourself you would, when you first started to dream and be inspired by the world. Whether it’s kids, a husband, a good career, respect of your peers , traveling the world etc… if those dreams are not fulfilled you will have regrets and be living in the past, wishing for the clock to rewind. But Nhlanhla Nciza seems to have it all. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear, as young as your hope, as old as your despair.” – Douglas Macarthur

Nhlanhla Nciza turned 40 and it was magical. I feel honoured I was part of the event and a special thanks to my Sis and music Icon, Lady Zamar
