THE BODY SHOP PERFUMES: Elixirs of Nature
The appeal of perfume is that it is at once momentary and brief but also empowering. It creates a sensual and invisible Armor that lingers in a room long after its wearer has physically gone but the magic is that the wearer of the perfume seems like they is still there. As one man tried to describe what went on in his imagination: it’s like I could still almost touch her. And that’s one of the many reasons I go to lengths to get good smelling, sensual perfumes.
My love for perfumes was created by my mother’s love of beautiful things and smelling good. Until this day, if I’m not sure what to get her for Christmas, New year’s, or a simple thank you present, I can never go wrong with buying her a sweet smelling, delicious and feminine kind of perfume. She loves them. And so her passion was passed on to me.
I can’t say I have a specific scent, I just have specifications. The perfume has to smell either floral or fruity but feminine and not childish. As I said earlier, I don’t have a specific scent or brand of perfume I always go to so I tend to buy a different one whenever I can for mystery and diversity. I don’t like smelling the same too often. It can get a bit boring for me. I go through at least twelve bottles a year of some of my favourite brands.
What I love about the body shop perfumes is that they are long lasting!!! Have you ever tried using or ever tested the Body shop perfume in Strawberry?? If you haven’t, you must!!! You will smell good enough to eat (like strawberries) the entire day. #NoJoke. It’s fruity and delicious. LOL, I’m such a foodie.
So you can imagine the excitement when I found out that the body shop south Africa has new perfumes, called elixirs, now in stores. The new the body shop perfumes are NIGRITELLA ORIENTAL ORCHID FRAGRANCE, SWIETENIA FRESH FLORAL FRAGRANCE and KAHAIA WHITE FLORAL FRAGRANCE. I immediately gravitated towards Nugritella because of the colour of the packaging and when I sprayed it, it was heaven on earth. The Nugritella is a luxurious floral fusion of red vanilla orchid, this floral fragrance is enhanced with an opulent hint of tuberose and vanilla for fiery sensuality. Available in a 50ml eau de perfume.
