The Metro FM Music awards were a blast. Why? Because Durban Rocks. It’s warm and absolutely crazy. But what made this year’s MMA15 more special than any other year was the Lady Zamar and Junior Taurus Nomination for Best Duo/Group for their Album Cotton Candy. Now we can’t just call them lady Zamar and Junior Taurus no more, we call them MMA Nominees. J
The Duo didn’t win the award that evening but in my eyes they are already winners. They are hard workers and are pretty talented people, this, my friends, is just the beginning. Looking forward to bigger, better things to come.
It was very important for me to support her, Lady Zamar, but attending award shows is also very exciting. At some point I felt like I was watching A Beyoncé Concert when I saw Kelly Khumalo come on the stage wearing a very sexy number, very confident and just mesmerizing with her hot body and toned legs. The sound comes from everywhere in the room and the echoes make the performances three dimensional… I’m telling you know, it’s not as nice until you see it live. What a night to remember.
Other highlights of the evening at thr metro fm music awards were meeting Lerato Kganyago, Vuyo Dabula, DJ Sphectacular and a few members of the cast of UZALO. These people are very chilled as you can see by the warm welcome we got when we asked Lerato for a picture in the elevator, on our way to see Lady Zamar and, also by the calm and excited look on Speculators face. He’s honestly always camera ready. Last but not least, it was an honor to be so close to a man that’s loved by most women in South Africa, Mr. Vuyo Dubula.
We took a lot of pictures at the metro fm music awards but I can’t post all the images we took in Durban, they are more than two hundred. #Hides. So I’ll be posting some on my Social Media.
Slindile and I had VIP tickets. Now this might not seem much but the VIP tickets gave us access to a lot of the functions happening after the show, official after parties and basically just having a blast all night through.
I should say thou that we were a couple of minutes late, in hair and makeup before the show. It was chaos, a good chaos but we finally made it.
The evening ended with cocktails and dancing but I this night would not have been this exciting if I wasn’t sharing it with one of my best friends, Slindile.
