MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK
It’s been Fashion Week after fashion week.
But where does it all start thou year after year?
Fashion Week usually starts with London in January then followed by New York, Milan and then all other Fashion Hotspots around the world. March marks the beginning of the South African Fashion frenzy launching with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week that’s going to be held at the Mandela Square in Sandton this year. This event is not entirely a week, to be more exact, its only three days.
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week
The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week starts on the 10th of March and runs until the 12th of March. Fashion designers to grace us with their Collections include Khosi Nkosi, David Tlale and one of my favorites. Carducci. This promises to be visually stimulating as well as entertaining. Can’t wait
Pretoria to Sandton commute
One of the hardest but most exciting things to do during fashion week is commute from Pretoria to Johannesburg for 3 to 5 days. Depending on how many shows you are booked to watch.
The travel from Pretoria to Sandton or Rosebank for fashion week reminds me of fashion week in the USA or UK. The life is fast, the shows varied and the clothes are absolutely beautiful. Fashion bloggers in the USA , UK. Get paid a lot of money to be fashionistas or to sit front row a specific shows. and that life can be really lucrative.
But , if you do not have a sponsor for your fashion week appearances as we sometimes do, limit your appearance to shows that you REALLY LIKE.
What to expect at the Merc Fashion Week
After Mercedes Fashion week comes the much anticipated South Africa Fashion Week that will run from the 5th all the way to the 9th of April. Looking forward to seeing what ERRE has in store for us this year, the Warner Bros experience on Saturday night and the new designer show casings. This year’s SA Fashion week will be held at Hyde Park Corner. Honestly not waiting patiently to see the new chic venue and the glitz that’s always surrounded by the glam.
