Summer love by electric seas

Hello, my loves, it’s been a while since I last opened Belicioumuse.com to write and express my feelings on whatever is going on in my life. I have had this blog for years and in the past few years, I have been updating it less and less. I’ve moved to a different part of South Africa, and I’ve met people who give me a reason to stop looking at my phone, take a break from work, and take it easy. Like the white guy, I met on my flight to Cape Town.

Wanderlust and Adventure

I bought my ticket to Cape Town on Saturday morning. The flight was scheduled to leave at 14:50 PM. Love, I thought I had a lot more time to do things like get my nails done around 12 midday and still make it to check-in. Baby, I was wrong. But there was no way on Beyonce’s Green Earth, I was going to get to Cape Town without my nails did. So, I logged into FlySafair and rebooked for the 4 pm flight. Lucky for me the rebooking was not too expensive, but that is the last time I’ll ever miss a flight again. The Lady at the counter gave me an aisle seat but I had previously paid for a Window seat, for content, obviously. She also gave me the extra legroom seats, which were nice, a little bit of luxury in Economy.

Meeting Jak of Camps Bay

When I finally got to my seat, there was a white guy seated by the window I so coveted. But it was my own fault I had missed my flight, and I wasn’t going to make it anyone else problem, but I decided to make small talk nonetheless and take my chances.

Hi, how are you, I asked. I’m ok, and you? He responded with a loud and boisterous pitch. I greeted him on a low octave, and he seemed like he didn’t care who could hear him. It was different, and his voice caught me by surprise.  You have such an amazing view, I continued, whispering, I had to lose my window seat because I missed my flight.  Oh, that’s terrible you missed your flight, he exclaimed, my mother booked this flight for me. Oh, do you want to exchange?  He continued at the top of his voice. I don’t mind getting the aisle seat. Are you sure? I asked, almost embarrassed that everyone could hear what was supposed to be our very private conversation. Yes, he replied, let’s exchange. He quickly unbuckled himself and allowed me to get the window seat. I continued thanking him and we slowly exchanged a few more words on our flight and he even helped me get my luggage from the overhead, but we went our separate ways. I’ll never forget Jak of Camps Bay and how kind he was to me.

Dating for great experiences vs dating for marriage

I hardly have regrets but i should have decided sooner to date for a good time and not date, necessarily for marriage. To be shown a good time, and for my suiter to impress me for me to want to cuff my life with his and ‘lend’ him my uterus to bear children. But I had been dating for marriage, which was just stupid if you ask me. Because when you date for marriage, you can become desperate to find the perfect husband. But if you are dating to see who gives you the most respect, who rewards you with the most kindness, buys you the biggest bouquet of flowers, etc. He will reveal himself, and show you that he is the right one. You won’t have to ask for commitment, you won’t be confused as to whether he likes you or not, because you will see his actions.

If you think you are ugly, you’ve been scammed.

At some point over the last few years, my mind had changed, I wasn’t that self-confident woman I knew in my 20s. The internet kept feeding me lies and I sometimes believed them.

If you’ve been told that because your fat, you’re ugly, and if you’ve been told that because your dark-skinned, you’re not attractive, and if you sit here and believe that then you’ve been scammed. In more ways than one. Just remember, anytime someone is trying to make you feel bad about yourself the real scammer is you believing it.

You can take it as fiction, but you really become the story that you tell yourself. We have a choice in everything. I know, sometimes it feels like we don’t have a choice with certain things, but we have a choice with everything. You only become not beautiful when you start telling yourself that you’re not beautiful and that’s fiction. The reality is that you are gorgeous, and you are so capable of achieving so much more than spending your life insecure about your face or spending years worrying about your weight.

Booty by the Sea

A friend of mine invited me to Cape Town and since I’m not married and don’t have children, I left that same afternoon. Cape Town, Simons Kloof is a place of pure magic and fairytales. It’s also a serene forest by the sea. I had such an amazing time with my booty out and could ‘let down’ my hair. When I left Pretoria, it was cold, but Simons Kloof harbour was warm. The view is serene, the air is fresh and crisp.

The Swimwear is from The Kendall and Kylie Swim collection available in Edgars and the socks are just cozy because it’s still winter in South Africa.

Kendall and Kylie Swim

This lime Kendall and Kylie Swim wear is a nod to the 80s and 90s.  Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s collection is also full of two-pieces and high-cut one-pieces, all in eye-catching brights and neons like the one I’m wearing in these images.
