When it comes to opportunities, I have been lucky and blessed as a black curvy girl growing up and living in South Africa to be given so many. There have been many ups and many downs ever since launching Beliciousmuse.com a couple of years ago. But the high points have been high and nothing short of magical. I’ve been invited to some of the most prestigious events, and I’ve had the time of my life. And the Kendall and Kylie launch in Edgars Fashion is a top-tier moment. Kendall and Kylie Edgars collection is a bold move for Edgars, South Africa, and Zebra Square but Bold Is Beautiful, and let’s not forget that nothing grows from a comfort zone.

Attending a fashion show, beauty launch or anything lifestyle related is always just as exciting for me as it was the first time. I somehow feel like I am assisting in a historical moment where something truly special is happening that will be remembered for years. I can get legit goosebumps when I see the gorgeous décor, the food, and all the effort organizers have put into making an event a success.

My favorite thing about any launch I’m invited to has to be the people I get to meet when organizers say I cannot bring a plus one. I become compelled to make friends and create amazing memories because everyone invited to the Kendall and Kylie Edgars launch is somewhat a blogger, a writer, a photographer, etc. skilled in social media and photography. I must shout out to Comfort Tshabalala for being the amazing photographer I never knew I needed until she got behind the camera and produced magic. Thank you, babe.

San Deck Brunch with Prosecco

After spending the morning viewing the Kendall and Kylie Edgars Collection, we were then invited to Sad Deck for Champagne Brunch. Nobody does it like Zebra Square. The setup, the food, and the Prosecco display was genius! And it’s exactly the effect I imagined when I first got the invite.  Not sure if it was just the Prosecco but I was filled with excitement, stars in my eyes, and in total awe. What can I say, I do love a good fashion brand launch. I had the great pleasure to being fed some words of wisdom from  Zebra Square founder Jillian Grogor. We got to chat about fashion bloggers, fashion, the business of fashion, PR, longevity, and beauty. We were touched by her humanity and kindness. So grateful.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are two of a handful of some of the most influential people of our generation. And being so influential only makes sense for Kendall and Kylie Edgars apparel to also be available not just in America but all over the world. And what better place to have the Kendall and Kylie apparel collection than in Edgars South Africa? The day we spent with zebra square must be one of the most elaborate reflections of the Kendall and Kylie lifestyle brand’s luxurious origins

Kardashian’s Casual Chic lifestyle

What I love the most about the Kylie and Kendall Jenner collection must be the black and white sweatpants and top. And let’s remember the Kardashians are known to live in casual chic on their TV Show. The lifestyle luxury brand is such an important part of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

I love the fact that the Kendall and Kylie Jenner apparel was launched in Edgars Sandton City. I cannot imagine a different retail shop to house this dynamic brand. It’s such an honor to be part of such a global initiative where even though Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s clothing is fully Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s ideas the clothes are outsourced and manufactured in sub-Saharan Africa and not in Asia. I love seeing Africa and South Africa growing and I love seeing Africa being given similar opportunities to the rest of the world.

Kendall and Kylie for the curvy girls too?

Because I am a curvy girl it’s so fun to find that the Kendall and Kylie Jenner collection does have sizes between extra small medium and large and I think extra-large, to fit anybody that is interested in this collection. I feel like brands do themselves a disservice by not including plus-size women and it’s just unfortunate because big girls want to look cute too. (duurrhh)
