Durbanville wines Sparkling Rosé weekends

The Durbanville wines are made from some of the most healthy grapes in the country. And, these wines have a fair amount of flavorful finesse that comes from their own winemakers’ awesome selection and blending, to bring a fresh, enticing tastes that suits modern palates.

I received a beautiful Durbanville Hills Gift set and it came with a lot more than what is seen in the pictures. The package had some fortune cookies and now, looking back, i wish i had not eaten them ALL on arrival. They tasted so good. The fortune cookies than came with the Durbanville Rosé was the same colour as the Rosé. They were about Six of them and each had its own message inside it. Next time, ill wait and take better images with more detail of everything in the box before i eat it, i promise. But, if you follow beliciousmuse.com on Instagram and Facebook you will never miss an un-boxing again because we usually un-box in STORIES.

Sweetness of Sparkling Rose

If you have not already tasted the Durbanville hills Rose, let me try describe it to you. As soon as you put the sparkling wine into your mouth, you will notice sweetness or the lack of it. In Wine-language, dry is the opposite of sweet. I classify the wine i am tasting as either dry, off-dry (in other words, slightly sweet), or sweet. And the Durbanville wine is sweet but it doesn’t have the after taste of a sugary beer. Its sweet but finishes off dry.

The Difference between fruitiness with sweetness.

  • A wine is fruity when it has distinct aromas and flavors of fruit. You smell the fruitiness with your nose; in your mouth, you “smell” it through your retronasal passage (see the earlier section “Tasting the smells”).
  • Sweetness, on the other hand, is a tactile impression on your tongue. When in doubt, try holding your nose when you taste the wine; if the wine really is sweet, you’ll be able to taste the sweetness despite the fact that you can’t smell the fruitiness.

My weekend with Durbanville Sparkling wines.

I really enjoyed this drink, and i enjoyed it mainly because its a refreshing Sparkling drink. I love sparkles. We drank it outside on the porch while watching the sun set and the moon rise. It was magical. A moment i can never get back to but also a moment that will forever be engraved in my mind.

Oh, and one more thing. I am so grateful for the sparkling wine CAP. Also know as the champagne stopper of which you can purchase a similar one HERE. I was able to take the images of the sparkling wine on a work day and then put the alcohol back in the bottle, then go to work. But DONT GET IT TWISTED. Wen you open the bottle again , don’t hold it close to anyone’s face. The Cap will pop as if it is the first time being opened.

This kitchen gadget comes in handy when you want to keep a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine fresh, while slowly drinking it over an afternoon or evening. I have always struggled with ways of keeping the bottle fresh and not letting the bubbles escape but this Champagne stopper has saved my champagne drinking life.

XOXO
