It’s been a while since I’ve done a weave or anything drastic to my hair. I’ve currently been enjoying my own, short, afro hair. It’s been an interesting journey this one. I’m on a road I might never stray on. The road to never putting harmful chemicals to my hair or the road of choosing the best hair stylists to braid my hair.
This is not an easy road. But it’s worth every water spray, every oil mask and every expensive leave in conditioner.
What I love most about my own hair is that it belongs to me.
I do miss looking like a Victoria’s Secret model ?? but I honestly enjoy my Afro hair. I have not left or moved on from weaves and wigs. Just giving my hair time to breath.
I’m honestly grateful I still have a full head of hair.
But if you miss me in long hair, you are not alone. I miss me too… But absense makes the heart grow fonder.
