This is the first time this year typing out my thoughts and I must say that it really feels good. I’ve missed talking about fashion, love, relationships, beauty and so now. In fact, I’ve missed it so much I’m going to give you guys a bit of an overdose

My mother is a health freak and I think she passed on some of her health discipline on to us genetically but I sometimes do an epic fall off the health wagon and getting back to good habits isn’t easy, but it can be done. I am doing it.

What is important to note though is that 1 Kilogram of fat is larger than I kilogram of muscle although they weigh the same. For those of you guys starting fitness or weightloss journeys remember this-diet plays a major role in weightloss and muscle gain but when you are feeling frustrated and have put your all in your workout but the scale is not budging, don’t despair, you need to build muscle first before you can lose weight and you need to eat right in order for you to gain specific muscles. (More details to follow)

While the body was getting in shape I couldn’t stop myself from jumping up and down and screaming over the phone to my friends telling them to check out a specific publication. I was approached by Essays of Africa Magazine to write a piece sometime last year. The magazine came out a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t wait to flip through the pages and finally see how the article looked like. #ThumbsUp. That was a great start to a new year and looking forward to more collaborations of this nature in the near future.

Ok… Enough of the extended version of my feature lets talk about love.

I’ve been in love more than twice in my entire life and every time it happens it consumes me. I love being in love. I’m in love right now. I am sitting here writing this with a smile on my face because something rare is happening and I hope it continues to happen.

When you find someone who loves you deeply, hold on to that person because that kind of love is rare.

Now a little bit on fashion

Siyabonga took these images at UNISA.(Did I mention that I’m glad he is back)! I’m wearing high waist blue jeans from MR PRICE that always keep the love handles in check. If you got a little bit of meat on your waist try staying away from the low cuts plus, high waist accentuates the curves on the right places so that’s a positive. I’m also wearing shoes from BURGUNDY STATEMENT PIECES FROM CALL IT SPRING, you can never go wrong with high heeled sandals on a hot day. I’ve got a bag from PRIMARK and accessories mainly from LOVISA. Finally…THE BURGUNDY STATEMENT PIECES HAT-A more than proper statement piece to round off the classic blue jeans and White T look. Hat was a gift but you can find a similar one at TOPSHOP

I love you guys, stay blessed.
