The L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation has to be by far one of the easiest makeup products I have ever tried out. The liquid foundation applies very smoothly and blends in perfectly. I was a bit skeptical to buy matte makeup because the shop I went to try it on only had only two shades for darker skin tones. I tried on the Cappuccino and saw that it was a bit too light for me, and then settled for Mahogany.
L’Oréal has a huge range of Matte Makeup but the one that works for me is the L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation. I thought that it being matte makeup and light weight, that it would not cover imperfections and only give light to medium coverage. Well, I was wrong.
The matte makeup last for up to 24 hours, they say. Lol I don’t sleep with makeup so I can’t vouch for the 24 hours. I will say though, that it lasted from the moment I put it on, until around 3 PM. Then I had to reapply powder on top of it just before leaving work at around 4 PM. Not sure out of habit or just because my face tends to get a bit oily as the day progresses.
Side Note: I didn’t go to clicks to buy matte makeup as I have tones of makeup at home. I went there to get a primer. The clicks lady said I should try on the L’Oréal Primer. The L’Oréal Primer is a thick jelly like clear substance that prepares your face for makeup so that product doesn’t go directly into your skin and cause breakouts etc. When I tested the L’Oréal primer on my hand it gave me an almost airbrush/ blurry finish. I was so blown away by their pro matte primer I started testing out the matte foundations as well. And that’s why we are here today, discussing a good buy.
Most liquid foundations will leave you shining until you set the foundation with a setting powder. So The L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation is perfect if you don’t want to be shining like a diamond. If you are not going to try out the L’Oréal Matte Foundation definitely out their L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Matte Primer, You won’t regret it. NB. Buy it at Dis-chem, it’s about R15 cheaper. 🙂 THANK ME LATER.

To apply, use fingers or your favorite makeup brush. I used my fingers.
