HYPER-PIGMENTATION DARK SPOTS
I started using Make up primer last year. I’m currently using the Prep + Prime Fix Plus from MAC – I’ve noticed remarkable changes on the way the skin looks with the primer compared to how it looked without the primer. This primer comes in the form of a bottle of water which you can spray on your face before you start applying makeup.
The benefits are:
- It seals your pores. I’ve never had large pores, but if you choose a liquid foundation, you already know that no matter how small your pores are, liquid foundation can make them more visible. Makeup primer takes care of all that by sealing pores and creating almost a blanket over them.
- It softens your skin. It seems to make it velvety soft, which enhances the smooth effects it has on your makeup appearance.
- It makes your makeup look, that’s another benefit all in itself. Using a makeup primer before you apply makeup makes your entire face look like velvet. It’s really such an alluring appearance, it’s hard to go without using one after you get used to it.
It’s quick and easy and you can even use it when you are not using makeup. Some of its properties include cucumber, which, as we all know, is damn good for the skin. It’s refreshing right? Especially the cucumber over the eyes when at a spa, RELAXING.
I’ve also started using the MAC Cosmetics compact powders. They are apparently a foundation and a powder. What I noticed about Mac powders is that when you use the fix plus primer you can build on top with the Powder which eventually gives one full coverage. ( What you do is keep spraying with the primer, just a little, on the area( Especially for dark spots and places that are hyper-pigmented) you need coverage on then continue to apply the powder) It’s almost like having a liquid foundation without all the hassle of applying it. I’m using the NW 45 as well as the NW 46; I use both of them for the light and dark areas on my face.
I’ve also started using the NW 45 Liquid foundation; this product I use only when I’m going out. I don’t like the finished look of the foundation on its own, it’s a bit too light for my skin tone at times and now that its hot, imagine the drama. I feel liquid foundation is just a lot.
The one problem I will say thou about the NW COMPACT POWDER range is that the powders transfer. Meaning, they get on your hands when you touch your face, and not just a little, a lot. Imagine having a full face of makeup and your boyfriend comes to visit you with a white shirt. Mind you, you are at work. Lol yeah, don’t imagine, it won’t be nice.
I honestly don’t like the transferees of this product. I know powders transfer, but this one takes it a bit too far. Lol
What you do to stop the transfer thou is to always apply a finishing powder. The one linked is from mac and costs around $26. It’s a good investment if you ask me. You don’t to be scared to go see your man with a full face of makeup just because you are afraid half of your face will remain on his shirt. LOL TRUST.
XOXO
