‘ African printed bikinis are a must have to anyone affiliated to the mother land’
We all want to have fun and we all want to look good having fun. Whether you are bigger bootied, bootylicious , vivacious, slender or athletic we all want to look good.
Africa, as well as any other continent has a variety of beautiful and unique body shapes and sizes but what makes African women a little different to the rest is the African woman’s behind. Some African girls want to cover it up; some want to flaunt it but whatever one would like to do, what remains is that we have it. Since we all have it, we should be able to do whatever we please with it, cover it or leave it. #ItsOurs
The having fun I’m talking about in this post is the fun one can have at the beach wearing African printed bikinis designed for an African girls body. As Africans, majority love prints, tribal and geometric prints and while we wear these prints mostly on special occasions, we also want to wear African Prints (Ankara) to the beach.
Quick fact about Ankara: Ankara can pass as a print from any country as Ankara Fabric is associated with the African culture but it originated from the Netherlands. It was originally intended for the Indonesian market but found a more enthusiastic market in West Africa, where it became symbols of traditional and high quality fashion. From West Africa, this fabric spread to other parts of Africa and all over the world. But now it doesn’t really matter where it’s from, what matters is the African adoption of the print. Now, let’s move along.
If you notice, there are a few fashion houses that design Ankara African print bikinis. Most bikinis you will see on the beach are either one solid color or prints that are neither tribal nor colorful.
I personally love wearing tribal African printed bikinis, as you can check out in this post. And I’m happy there are now more and more fashion houses branching out to cater to the African girl and are hungry to making her look good and give her the option to cover up or flex.
The other thing I’m absolutely in love with when it comes to African printed bikinis is the shapes and design of these creations. They are made to fit like bras and comfortable undies but, if you dare you can wear these swimwear as tops to an exotic hangout or evening beach, fun themed party. Choose one that covers, if you like, or one that exposes if you may. The point is, now that summer is coming it is important to look and feel good knowing that you are wearing something especially design for your body. But what’s even sexier than a good bikini is the confident woman wearing it.
