AFRICAN QUEENS

African Queens are a different kind of woman. 1st of all, African Women are strong: What some women go through in their lifetime can make them very strong. As the saying goes, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.  One example, for instance; Women can easily be lied to because women easily believe words. But once bitten, twice shy. Because women learn from a very young age that most ‘men lie’, those lies make women stronger so that the next time someone tells them sweet nothings, these sweet nothings should be accompanied by actions. So what didn’t kill her, made her stronger.  You are a diamond dear, they can’t break you!

African Queens do get tired and exhausted and it’s ok for them to take a break.  I’m so in love with this blog that I work and work and work and forget that need a break. When you do something that you love, that thing becomes a pleasure to do. My blog is like the love I have for a man that constantly shows me love and kindness. When a guy gives me all that I need in life it makes the decision to return the love easy. But with all things, everyone needs to recharge and so I took a break from the blog for about a week. I went to work and came back and slept for longer hours. Matter of fact, during the break I was able to think of ways to improve your reading and viewing experience, proving that when creativity is no longer there and when the body says no, give the queens body a young break to recharge and finally rejuvenate.

African queens deserve the best: For a long time I thought that I wasn’t good enough and that I deserved only what came to me but a while back I realized, I deserved even more and that I could look for it or work for it. So I decided to do both. Where you are in life is not your finally destination and you can do better and you will do better with time. If you are not happy about your finances, you can always do something to improve your situation, the key is not to compare yourself with others but to be persistent.  Don’t envy other girls that have, you don’t know how they got it but appreciate those that have and inspire to work as hard or even harder, to get the things you want. Freedom comes with responsibilities but freedom tastes good.

African queens are smart and intelligent: Never be with a person that undermines your intelligence, as a Queen you are intuitive and have wisdom beyond measure. Women have all the assets needed to make good and fruitful decisions. The brain, the body the mind, the soul. And those that undermine us will just have to live without us because Queens dine only with those worthy to share in the queens’ presence.

When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier. — Sheryl Sandberg

African queens do not wait for others to do things for them, African  Khalisees  are powerful and they are not fazed: “When my dragons are grown, we will take back what was stolen from me and destroy those who wronged me! We will lay waste to armies and burn cities to the ground!” Do not touch me. I am Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen. Daenerys Targaryen: The First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khalisee of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons.

I actually didn’t know the strength I had until I remembered that once upon a time I was all alone, with nothing. I had nothing and at that time, I believed I had no one. Depression took a hold of me and I was always in tears. Thoughts came to me of taking my life and as soon as those thoughts crossed my mind, I immediately called my mother and asked her to pray for me. I felt better after a few days but the depression didn’t go away, I kept slipping in and out of it, sad, depressed and feeling very alone. I say I felt very alone because I know I wasn’t alone, I had my boyfriend, sisters, family etc. but depression can make you feel like you are all alone in the middle of the dessert with a rain cloud over your head following you. But I am here now… once upon a time I had lost my strength but today I am stronger. African queens are not complicated; we are just human, but powerful human beings.

African women are beautiful: we took these images at an old abandoned museum in Pretoria north, as you will see by the statues; this museum holds a lot of historic detail. Loved the location but I was a bit scared of the free floating monkeys around us. None the less I enjoyed wearing this gorgeous white boho dress, of which you can get a similar one HERE with accessories from LOVISA and shoes from Rage and Lipstick from MAC; High Drama.
