In the UK people wear jackets or coats, mostly outside the house. When they get back in the house, they take the coat off. Being an African, im not used to taking clothes on and off as i enter warm or cold environments in winter, so wearing a jacket dress, blazer dress, coat dress with less heavy fabrics than the original winter coats reduces admin.
I personally don’t like hiding my body and winter is not my favourite season because im constantly covered. But… if I’m going to cover up, i’d gladly wear a light blazer dress with an under dress or lingerie underneath than an entire outfit with a short thick coat.
